When its done you start tthe game and open the launcher, with will checl the installed files and install the rest of stuff - like latest updates. However launcher also asks you for around 80 gigs, thinking that the base game is not istalled already, because he doesnt know that for sure.

That is why launcher asks you for 80 gigs, which is total size of the game, but during download and installation process it will not take all those 80 gigs, but onlu gigs, for the stuff that steam game did not have in its installation folder like recent patches and additions or so. In the end the full game, that is ready to play will take around 80 gigs. However in order to let launcher finish its process of installation you have to have around gigs free on the disk, right from the beginning, before even installing the basik package from steam.
